PLANT‑0089 PLANTER

PLANT‑0089 presents a refined study in tessellated repetition and proportional harmony. Its cylindrical body is layered with a dual‑depth lattice of elongated rhombuses, creating an engaging visual rhythm that shifts as light and shadow play across the surface. The outer shell’s precision‑angled facets catch ambient illumination, producing subtle highlights that accentuate the planter’s sculptural quality. Simultaneously, the inset geometry provides a gentle textural counterpoint, inviting tactile exploration and offering a dynamic interplay between concave and convex volumes. This architectural articulation frames the living greenery within, elevating a simple potted display to an immersive focal point.

Designed for seamless integration into contemporary interiors, PLANT‑0089 balances minimalist restraint with ornamental depth. The matte finish mutes reflections, allowing the geometric pattern to remain the hero of the composition, while the inner well’s ample diameter accommodates robust root systems and encourages healthy growth. Function and form unite as the external lattice acts as a subtle protective collar, visually containing soil and reinforcing the planter’s structural integrity. Each caring gesture—whether pruning, watering, or repositioning—becomes a moment of engagement, as the plant’s vitality resonates through the rhythmic geometry. Ideal for bespoke shelving, reception desks, or gallery settings, PLANT‑0089 exemplifies how disciplined design can forge a meaningful dialogue between object, environment, and caretaker.

How are the planter made?

Modern 3D printing technology is used to produce the UPETAL 3DESIGN planter.

This is how the extraordinary and delicate structure of the planter can be created - while at the same time being very light. We paid particular attention to sustainability and quality when it came to the material used. - a bio-plastic made from corn starch - we have paid particular attention to sustainability and quality.

What material are the planter made of?

The 3D planter from UPETAL 3DESIGN are made of polylactide (PLA for short), which is also colloquially known as polylactic acid and is often referred to as  ''o-plastic''. PLA is made up of lactic acid molecules that are created during the fermentation of corn starch or sugar cane.

Although PLA does not grow on trees or bushes and is therefore produced synthetically, it is biodegradable due to its ingredients and is therefore a great alternative to non-degradable plastic with similar properties.

Why are high temperatures damaging the planter?

If the planter is exposed to high temperatures (e.g. in direct sunlight behind a window), the material can lose stability, causing the planter to warp. A series of tests carried out over a few weeks came to the conclusion that this can happen , but does not happen in every case.

However, we expressly point out that there is a possibility that the planter can deform at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

Can I put water in the planter ?

The 3D printed planter itself is not waterproof due to its manufacturing process, and water may seep out from the planter. We recommend using this planter for displaying dried flowers.
